Both, located near the mesmerizing Parvati River, offer a great opportunity to experience the nature in its glory. It has so much to offer – the calming gurgles of the river and waterfalls, the enthralling mountains in the backdrop and spellbinding landscapes all around, it is truly a marvel! Kasol, base for Kheerganga trek and Malana trek, is 30 km away from Bhuntar and 3.5 km from Manikaran. Best time to visit Kheerganga and Kasol is between October and June so as to relish the chilly air and gracious winter sun, a perfect winter experience. Kasol and Kheerganga temperature here ranges from 3 to 22 degree Celsius, Weather at Kasol and Kheerganga pleasant in summers and chilly in winters, Kheerganga altitude is approximately 3050 meters.



Day 1 : Delhi to Kasol ( 521 Km )
We begin our journey to Kasol late in the evening around 8pm from Delhi. We halt for a late dinner on the way around 11pm. We carry on our remaining journey in the night.
Day 2 : Arrival in the mountains
By the time the first rays of the sun hits our face and we open our eyes in the morning we are already ascending towards Kasol. We halt for morning tea and breakfast in the mountains and finish the last leg of the journey till noon. We check-in to our hotel around 12 noon and rest for some time till lunch is served. Post lunch we leave for Chalal village and walk beside the Parvati river.

Chalal Village walk is a beautiful trek with Beas river on one side and mountains on the other. It’s a short and easy 1.5Km walk cum trek from Kasol. Day 3 : The trekking day
Post breakfast, we leave for Bershani (22km from Kasol). Bershani is the basepoint for Kheerganga. We begin our trek to Kheerganga, The trek trail of Kheerganga is approximately 12kms and is of moderate difficulty. Slowly and steadily crossing the forests and the valley, we reach the Kheerganga top. We camp and enjoy the time very close to the nature.
Day 4 : The return journey Kasol to Delhi (521 Km)
Post breakfast take a dip in the Kheerganga holy hot water spring and visit the famous Lord Shiva temple, trek your way back to Bershani and then drive back to Kasol. We visit the famous Manikaran Gurudwara and Temple on the way back. Reach the hotel, freshen up and grab some lunch in the café of your choice in Kasol market and get some souvenir for yourself from the shops. Grab your stuff from the hotel and board the bus to Delhi. We reach back to Delhi early morning the next day (depending on the traffic conditions).

Kheerganga is a holy place which is said to have been resided by Lord Shiva himself, who meditated here for thousands of years! Thus, explaining Mahadev’s popularity in the Parvati Valley.

Besides its interesting background, it boasts of vast meadows, surrounded by snow clad peaks, numerable streams, waterfalls and reasonable overnight stay options with food availability. A 12km trail, described moderately difficult yet so fun filled with a wonderful trek through the forest and valleys.

The base point at Bershani, which is where Parvati and Tosh rivers unite, leads us to a trek that gives us a journey of ups and ups, of the rights and lefts and of the moves and breaks, after Kheerganga trekking finally concluding to our destination, Kheerganga camp, Kheerganga trek distance is approximate 12 Kms one side.

The final day of return comprises of Kheerganga holy hot water spring, Lord Shiva temple, short trek to the Karthik Caves and a visit to the hot spots of the place the famous Manikaran Gurudwara, an auspicious holy place known for its hot springs located near the right bank of river Parvati.

The story of Lord Shiva getting angry for not finding Mani, a jewel of wife Parvati and the visit by Guru Nanak Dev Ji attracts a number of tourists here. Hot springs here are believed to have curative powers, and the sanctity in the surroundings has no comparisons.
